Was it the Roman sword swung in the name of Christ that stopped other choices like that one and many many others from the old pagan religons they destroyed was chiefly responsible for the lack of members to the existing temples to the more ancient gods that were brought by the conversion of a Roman Emperor ?

how did the atheati know this?
hmmm pipahh has a point. You need to answer questions to catholics more often, I myself have asked questions and people give me this cut-paste stuff out of the bible, I want to hear it from them in their own words…as you have done.

Question:
Okay, so I have some family in another state, whom I am forced to visit sometimes . They’re just cousins btw.
They are SO serious about their faith, which at first was not a problem with me at all. But they are trying to transform me to be as religious as they are. When I’m with them, I can’t go shopping in stores like Hot Topic. They will have a field day if I watch Harry Potter. I can’t watch music videos that aren’t on Disney Channel. They don’t even let their kids play Sims, which I find is a load of BS. They think Pagans are devil-worshipers, and that irks me like no other. As someone who is sensitive about gay rights, they offend me with their anti-gay comments, although I know they probably think I agree with them.
Yeah, I understand, it’s their house, it’s their rules, but they make it a personal problem.
Whatever. My point is, they are very pushy people and want me to be as holy as possible. I want to tell them that I am not Christian, without sounding defensive. I also don’t want to come off as rude or mad, because they are generally good people, and I love them..
Thanks for your help

Question:
I am pagan. I shop in a local christian thrift store and also give my spare clothing to them as well. The last few times that I have been shopping there, they have had an older gent there who comes around and asks people if they are “saved”. I usually just avoid him but sometimes he corners me and I just smile and say thank you for your thoughts and walk away. He is very persistant. I wear a symbol of my faith and while it is not a pentigram, it is pagan. He apparently knows that so I really am on his radar now even since I have quit wearing it there as it draws this kind of behavior from the fanatics in this area. Yesterday it was really awlful as he followed me around the entire store getting louder and louder in his “witnessing”. Soon the entire store was aware of his tactics. I realized that he was trying to embarress me into “repenting from my union with the devil” as he calls it. I was forced to leave the store in order to get away from it. Thoughts??
Ya I called the manager about it. He laughed and told me that I needed to repent and hung up on me.
