But what happens when these relationships go bad? Maybe magick was not used to develop the relationship, but for many reasons, it might be employed as a resolution. Or, maybe you know someone else who feels trapped in a loveless or unhealthy relationship. Many psychologists compare ending a relationship to breaking a bad habit. According to the What the Bleep?! scholars, you can actually develop a chemical dependency to the emotions you feel in everyday life, even if they are negative. This makes a break-up much more complicated than simply ending the physical relationship. The efforts of separation magick are twofold: there are the physical, overt aspects of the relationship, and then there are also the internalized metaphysical and metapsychological facets to be attended to.
