It doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else, it’s a very personal experience, which, by the way, we don’t try to shove down anyone elses throat like the christians with their mandate to convert everyone else to their ways, like it’ll get them brownie points in heaven or something. Did you ever actually get into Paganism? Paganism and science go hand-in-hand, we just put a magical spin on things to make them a little more interesting. Of course if you’re not comfortable with it that’s fine, but most Neo-Pagan movements are very in tune with science. If you get the chance, you should read Starhawk’s book “The Earth Path”. She even has a short story that’s basically evolution, but with some universal energy, goddess, and seeker stuff thrown in. It’s a really good book.
